The PAL escorts students from the school on Tuesday to the church and assists the choir director and monitors students. Must remain present for the duration of practice. The PAL will also assist the Choir Director on Wednesday mornings during Mass and take attendance. The Choir Director closely works with the PAL. Full Commitment – Maintenance PALS details Task Description × Position Description: This position will perform basic maintenance and custodial tasks directed by the school maintenance personnel, and though it does not require expert maintenance training, it does require individuals to perform some tasks with physical requirements. Hours Required: The maintenance PALS will work four hours per month (from about 7:30 am - 10:30 am, August—May) on Saturdays that will be determined by the school at the beginning of the year. Full Commitment – Mass PALS (Wednesdays and Sunday) details Task Description × Position Description: This position requires the candidate(s) to be Catholic, familiar with the Catholic Mass, and attend training on procedures. In addition to Sacristan, the PALS would be in charge of supervising student greeters/helpers and additional tasks that may come up in this role. The PAL would need to be present at the Wednesday/Holy Day school Masses and once a month at the school mass on Sundays. Those in the position would work together to make sure that there is supervision/Sacristan for all designated times. This position would work closely with religion teachers and parish priests to fulfill this commitment. Hours Required: Varies, to be determined by the religion teacher. Other initiatives may be added to the program. The position reports to the PALS Board Vice President.
